As a department within the Division of Administration & Finance, Information Technology Services (ITS) supports RIC's online administrative systems, network connectivity, telephones, event management systems, cybersecurity systems, email, classroom and lab services, learning management systems, lecture capture, training, and other technology related services.
The department of Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for the support of academic and administrative functions including planning, management and direction of technology initiatives at Rhode Island College.
ITS directly oversees the following departments:
It is the responsibility of Information Security to ensure the security and confidentiality of covered information; protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security and integrity of such information; and protect against unauthorized access or use of such information.
Management Information Services is responsible for providing technical support for all administrative functions at Rhode Island College.
User Support Services (USS) is responsible for all end user client devices, training, the college LMS (Blackboard), academic computing including walk-in labs and instructional classrooms, and the college Helpdesk.
