What is SSO at RIC?

RIC SSO (single-sign-on) accounts provide login access to numerous services and platforms, including MyRIC, Microsoft 365/email and Blackboard, as well as campus computers, library databases and personal storage. RIC SSO accounts are automatically created and maintained by Information Technology Services for full-time faculty, staff and active students.

SSO Account Types

Student accounts are created automatically. RIC SSO Accounts are issued after matriculation at the College. Limited access SSO accounts are provided to college applicants and admitted students. Non-degree registrants are issued accounts within three business days of their registration. Please contact the ITS Help Center (401-456-8803 or helpdesk@ric.edu) with questions about your RIC SSO Account.

When all hiring documentation at Human Resources has been completed, you will be given your RIC SSO Account login information.

Notification of the creation of your RIC SSO Account will be sent to the new hire’s personal email account provided during the hiring process. Please contact the ITS Help Center with questions about your RIC SSO Account.
