- Rhode Island College Named 2025-2026 Military Friendly® School

Rhode Island College deeply appreciates the service of our armed forces to our country and are proud to serve them now.
Rhode Island College has earned the 2025-2026 Military Friendly® School designation.
Institutions earning this designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-2026 survey with 830 awarded.
Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer) and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
RIC exceeded the benchmark standards in all six categories.
“Rhode Island College is committed to helping the men and women of our armed forces attain their academic goals,” says Michael Cunningham, associate dean of students.
“We partner with the Department of Veterans Affairs to make sure our veterans, active-duty members of the military, and other military-affiliated students receive the support and services necessary for them to transition from military service to academic excellence,” he says. “Most of all, we are grateful for their service to our country and are proud to serve them now as they pursue the education and training necessary for the next phase of their lives.”
