Hispanic Heritage Month

Each year, from September 15 to October 15, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a time to celebrate the achievements, heritage, history, traditions, and cultural diversity of Hispanic Americans whose heritage is rooted in Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.

2026 RIC Latiné Summit – September 25

Don't miss the 2026 RIC Latiné Summit: Voices that Transform Communities / Voces que Transforman Comunidades. Join us Friday, September 25 from 11 am–3:30 pm in Gaige Hall as we bring together people across Rhode Island to explore leadership, advocacy, and arts & culture. We'll be featuring a keynote luncheon with RI Senator Jonathon Acosta; panels featuring RIC alumni, current RIC students, and community members; delicious Latiné cuisine; a dance lesson; and prize raffles!
