Non-Discrimination and Affirmative Action

The Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action program ensures the college’s commitment and responsibility to equitable treatment and opportunity in employment, educational programs and activities including admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other College-administered programs, as well as compliance with non-discrimination policies and state and federal laws and regulations related to equal opportunity and affirmative action.
Program Overview
The Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action program enforces the prohibition of discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity or expression, marital, citizenship status or status as a special disabled veteran, recently separated veteran, Vietnam era veteran, or any other veteran who served on active duty during a war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized (except in those special circumstances permitted or mandated by law).
The Affirmative Action program is committed to taking affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified women and members of minority groups identified in state and federal affirmative action laws and executive orders, persons with disabilities (including qualified special disabled veterans), and veterans. We also endeavor to promote a campus-wide knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of affirmative action as well as a commitment to inclusion and expanding the diversity of our workforce.
