Unique Accommodation Considerations

Should you experience special circumstances that necessitate accommodations the Center for Disability Access (CDA) can help you with that.

Special Circumstances

Temporary Injuries

The CDA understands that individuals experiencing temporarily disabling conditions that are a result of injuries, surgery or short-term medical conditions may need access to services and resources similar to those accessible to people with permanent disabilities.

Study Abroad

The CDA and the Office of Study Abroad are here to support students with disabilities on Study Abroad programs around the globe.

Placement Setting

There are several academic programs at Rhode Island College that require students to participate in field experiences such as an internship, field placement, student teaching, practicum or clinical.

Reduced Course Load

Students with disabilities can request a reduced course load when they believe their functional limitations may impact their ability to carry a full course load
