Dragon is a speech recognition software compatible with Windows devices that helps users accurately get things done using voice commands hands-free.
Dragon is beneficial for users who have problems with hand typing due to severe physical barriers such as chronic nerve pain and chronic forms of arthritis. Dragon can also be beneficial for users with specific learning difficulties such as severe dyslexia, or severe difficulties when a user can’t translate their ideas into writing easily, but can more easily verbalize words and thoughts. Dragon can be used to control a user’s computer, navigate the computer screen, open and interact with web browsers, web applications, and web links, create text in Microsoft Office applications and email clients, etc. Dragon is known for its accuracy and speed, can transcribe speech up to 160 words per minute, and isn’t known to make spelling mistakes. Dragon learns from a user’s unique speech patterns and adapts to the user’s voice which improves transcription accuracy over time and can be tailored to the user’s specific vocabulary needs and preferences making it easier to use. Dragon can also transcribe audio files including pre-existing recordings into text.
