Dr. Mikaila Mariel Lemonik Arthur, Professor of Sociology and 2024-25 Mary Tucker Thorp Award recipient, presents Uncovering the Master's Tools: Studying Higher Education Organizations and Social Change. A reception will follow the lecture.
To observers, colleges and universities often seem like organizations stuck in the past--but they do change, just like any organization. This talk draws on over two decades of scholarship, activism, and practice to consider what makes change happen in colleges and universities.
