Leadership is often confused with authority. While a title may come with authority: leadership is earned through influence.
In higher education, some of the most influential people are not necessarily those with the biggest titles. They are the people who build trust, ask thoughtful questions, share credit and make it easier for others to succeed.
In this engaging workshop, Gail Lowney Alofsin invites participants to see leadership as a series of everyday choices. Through stories, reflection and interactive discussion, participants will explore how credibility, communication, curiosity and attitude shape YOUR impact.
Staff interested in attending should obtain supervisory approval before registering. Attendance during scheduled work hours is subject to departmental operational needs and any applicable collective bargaining agreement or College policy.
