Course Withdrawal Deadline

The deadline to withdraw from fall courses is Thursday, November 12. This is for full semester classes only. Students should consult the Academic Calendar for deadlines related to 7-week courses.

Course Withdrawal Policy

Before completing the Course Withdrawal Form, please read all content.

After the add/drop period has ended, students may withdraw from a course through the end of the course withdrawal period (see academic calendar) for deadlines.

Course withdrawals are not eligible for a refund of tuition and fees. After a course withdrawal is processed, a “W” will be entered for the course on the student’s transcript. Note: W’s do not affect the GPA. No credits will be EARNED, but will count towards ATTEMPTED credits.

Before You Withdraw From a Course

Students are strongly urged to talk to their advisor and the course instructor before withdrawing from a course.

Students in the following groups are strongly advised to contact the appropriate office prior to withdrawing from a course to ensure there are no unintended consequences:

Student Athletes: Contact your Athletic Compliance Officer

If you are dropping all courses, this is not the correct form to submit.

If you are withdrawing for extenuating non-academic reasons (ex. medical, pregnancy, disability accommodations, and/or call to active duty), contact the Dean of Students office.
