What We Do
The mission of Rhode Island College’s Office of Institutional Research & Planning is to provide accurate, timely, and useful information and analysis to all stakeholders, and support coordination for the college’s external reporting obligations.

How We Achieve Our Mission
- We serve as the official source of data and statistics about RIC for internal and external parties
- We help lead data governance and data quality efforts to ensure the integrity of/access to the college’s data
- We coordinate/assist with external reporting, accreditation, and other needs such as grant applications
- We work to increase data literacy and effective data use by all members of the campus community
- We support strategic and operational planning at all levels, and conducts research into issues and trends of importance to the college
