Facilities and Operations' primary functions include general maintenance, custodial, and grounds maintenance for the college campus as well as warehouse services, utilities, fire safety, event support, signage, recycling and snow removal.

What We Do

The Office of Facilities and Operations provides 24-hour support services to students, faculty and staff in a timely manner through the use of a computerized work order system for maintenance and emergency repairs.

Improvements to Enhance Learning

Our mission is to support the Rhode Island College community by improving the quality of the campus through:

  • planning
  • constructing
  • maintaining

and by providing superior services in an effective and environmentally-conscience manner to enhance student learning. The Maintenance & Repair staff operates, maintains and repairs all buildings on campus, including residence halls. The services provided are electrical, carpentry, general maintenance, painting, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and locksmith services.

Submitting a Work Order

  2. make sure you are signed-in
  3. select a service request category
  4. select a service within that category
  5. submit the ticket

A technician will then be assigned to the request. Alternatively, you may email facilitieswo@ric.edu with your request.
