Shoreline Magazine
SHORELINE is the voice of the literary and artistic talents of Rhode Island College. Each year, we seek to publish innovative, compelling fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and art/photography that showcases the identities and experiences within our community.
Our Submission Process
Each fall, we hold a contest that offers monetary awards in various categories. Submissions to the contest are considered for publication.
General submissions are accepted at the beginning of the spring semester. In April, we hold a launch party to debut our annual issue and to celebrate everyone who helped make the magazine possible.
Want to be Involved?
Please consider taking English 375 (fall) and/ or English 376 (spring). Each of these two-credit courses focuses on hands-on learning about literary magazines in general and the making of SHORELINE in particular. For English majors, taking both courses helps fulfill a requirement for the BA degree. They're also a great way to be more involved in the campus arts community and to have fun making a fantastic magazine!
