Career Tasks

• Get a final review of your resume and cover letter from a counselor
• Schedule a mock interview to gain competitive edge
• Utilize Handshake to identify and apply to positions of interest
• Polish professional connections materials - business cards, LinkedIn profile; update competencies and skills on Portfolium
• Attend RIC's job and internship fairs; identify and apply to opportunities

Academic Tasks

• Check with your adviser and with the Registrar's Office to confirm graduation status
• Fill out all necessary graduation documentation
• Finalize graduate programs and schools of interest; review personal statement with a counselor
• Ask faculty, previous employers and/or personal contacts to serve as references

Personal/Social Tasks

• Use LinkedIn and attend networking events
• Join local and national professional organizations
• Network with alumni and other professionals to learn about potential opportunities, workplace culture, and job expectations
• Talk with graduate school program directors about the careers their graduates pursue
